I’m Alina Candal, the Digital Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador of The Common Blue.
Coffee is more than a drink — it starts my day, connects me to others, and brings clarity to thought.
I was born in Costa Rica, where coffee is life itself. London taught me its culture, and Singapore showed me its future. Across these places, I discovered coffee’s deeper meaning — balance, creativity, and care for the world that makes it possible.
The Common Blue exists at that intersection — where technology meets tradition, and where every cup is a conscious act of wellbeing. Coffee has shaped my health, my resilience, and my style. It remains my essential ritual.

Costa Rica is home—small but rich in culture and identity. Coffee here is more than a commodity; it’s family, respect for volcanic soils, diverse climates, and skilled farmers who prioritize excellence over volume. Our country chose peace, investing in healthcare, education, and protecting over 30% of its land. Costa Rican coffee reflects this commitment to people, nature, and quality. The Common Blue embodies these values: care, balance, and respect, rooted in Costa Rica’s spirit.

The Common Blue is inspired by butterflies — symbols of transformation and ecological health. From the blue morpho of Costa Rica to the common rose of Singapore, they remind us that beauty and strength come from respecting nature.
Coffee is rich in natural antioxidants that fuel body and mind. When it comes from Costa Rica, it also strengthens communities and protects ecosystems.
